Mary Lou and the
Untouchables have been thrilling audiences throughout Maryland with their hot
blend of rhythm and blues, classic rock, and original tunes since their first
appearance on Halloween of 1993. Their infectious beat and lively stage show
have captured crowds at the Baltimore Arena, where they performed on stage with
Dana Carvey and David Spade; at their appearances with Clarence Clemmons of
the E Street Band; at Bally's Ocean Downs with Ray Charles, Walter "Wolfman"
Washington, the Nighthawks, and Roomful of Blues; at the Patapsco Arena where
they performed with the Drifters and Ronnie Dove; and on the beach in Ocean
City with WAR and Taylor Dayne. Also, Mary Lou and the Untouchables earned the
title "Best Band on the Beach 1998" after competing in a three day Labor Day
weekend band festival which was sponsored by the Town of Ocean City and shortly
thereafter, the band was presented with the Key to the City from Ocean City
Mayor Jim Mathias. True to their local roots, the band continues to bring down
the house at Maryland's hottest clubs, including the Hard Rock Cafe, Fager's
Island, Seacrets, Oliver's, and the Barn.
Recently WMAR-TV
spotlighted Mary Lou and the Untouchables on the popular morning shows Wake
Up, Baltimore! and Rodricks for Breakfast. Also, cuts from the band's
sold-out CD, Untouched, were featured on WJZ-TV's Morning Show during Ms. Magee's
interview with hosts Marty Bass and Don Scott. Ocean City Cable Channel 22 and
radio stations 98 Rock, the Colt 104.3, and WRNR-FM have also aired cuts from
the CD. Additionally, music from the CD was played to bring on the Baltimore
Bandits in the Baltimore Arena.

The
members of the band include Mary Lou Magee, who's vocal power and commanding
stage presence are backed by the solid rhythm of Brad Kimes on drums and Jay
Dulaney on bass; the skillful solos of Sean O'Brien on guitar and Charles Hamilton
on keyboards; and the tight horn licks of Tom Crawford on sax, Alan Dahlstrom
on alto/tenor saxophones, and Mo Goldman on the tenor/baritone saxophones.
