The incomparable Mary Lou is returning to the area Tuesday, August 4, to perform with her band, the Untouchables, at Bally’s Blues, Brews, and BBQs concert. She just might steal the show, folks, but she does have a teeny bit of competition from the one and only Ray Charles.
The gates of Bally’s at Ocean Downs will open at 4 p.m. and first to take the stage is Ocean City’s own Teenage Rust and the Fabulous Rustettes. Mary Lou will come on next and I just hope those big-time managers are listening ‘cause this gal has got what it takes! She’ll be followed by internationally acclaimed nine-piece jump swing blues band Roomful of Blues. Then the incomparable Ray Charles and his 17-piece orchestra and the Rayettes will put on a show for the grand finale to a fabulous festival of music.
