We were wearing costumes of a different sort at the highly successful, top-rated black tie affair last Friday at the Coconut Malorie Hotel - the Winterfest Gala.

Alex Grier (good luck) and staff did a wonderful job of organizing and decorating for this social event of the season to raise money for more beautiful holiday displays. For me, the highlight of the evening was singing a song with Mary Lou & the Untouchables and Mayor Jim Mathias. Didn't we have a ball?

The band played at Fager's Island the following night and Mayor Jim Mathias presented Mary Lou with the Key to the City. This was such a thrill and honor for Mary Lou who dreamed of this happening some day but can't quite believe that it has. They are one talented bunch of musicians who work really hard to entertain us, and, Mary Lou, dreams really do come true. Congratulations, my friends.
